Just gauging interest in a possible boards.ie bikejournal club.

I know there's a strava club on the go, but not everyone uses a gps device, and given the interest shown in the yearly distance thread, I thought it might be good to keep track throughout the year.

I think it's just a matter of manually inputting ride data, distance etc.

Try anything once I guess, although having just joined Strava I'm hugely impressed with it. An 80 Euro smartphone does the job pretty well.

Can you not enter the data manually into Strava?

I think its a good idea. On another bike forum they run a 100k a month challenge whereby you note each month that you completed a +100k ride. You simply reply to the op and then edit your original post during the year (or not in my case!)

Maybe we could have something similar to cover total distance/time covered updated at the end of each month.

Something like;

Jan 340k/20 hours 340k/20
Feb 340k/20 Hours 680k/40

Yeah that's the kind of thing I'm thinking about.

tbh I don't know if strava does something like that, have never really looked into it. If it does, I suppose that would make this redundant! (i thought it was all about koms titles over there!)
