Hi, my band need something for vocals at small gigs, but we can't afford a PA. Only vocals need to be micced up, no amps or drums or anything, Does anyone here know of a small combo monitor or something that can be got?

A powered monitor like http://www.thomann.de/ie/the_box_ma120_mk_ii.htm should do the trick.

    Powered monitors good....

I have a MArshall AS50R which I use as an acoustic amp, but also as a small PA.

Acoustic and Keyboard amps are good as PAs as they have a flatter frequency range than electric guitar amps which are mid heavy. Guitar amps are also made to distort, while Acoustic & KB amps are made to run clean
