Best options for early morning travel to Airport from Dundrum area

    Hi all,

Last week the Ballinteer aircoach route was cancelled due to insufficient demand. As I travel to the airport from the Dundrum area every two weeks this was a very useful service.

I'm hoping someone could offer me advice on the best options now with the following circumstances in mind:

    * A Taxi is too expensive.
    * I need to be at the airport before 7am on a Wednesday morning which rules out almost all public buses.
    * The green line Luas starts at 5.30am which could get me to another aircoach stop.

I would imagine that getting a Luas from Balally to Sandyford and then picking up an aircoach from there might be the best option?
However, St. Raphaelas school is the closest stop to the Luas and I'm not sure how much of a walk there is between the Sandyford Luas stop and this aircoach stop. Anyone know this?
If anyone knows of other aircoach stops beside green line Luas stops please let me know.

If my Luas to Sandyford to get an aircoach seems like a ridiculous one I'd love to hear any other options :)

Thanks very much in advance for any help or advice.

I didnt think there was a stop anymore between Microsoft and Stillorgan Village? You could get the luas to stillorgan or Sandyford and walk to Microsoft, which is about 5 minutes from either one, or get luas up to central park and get the bus from terminus outside hotel there, which is about a 2 minute walk.

Personally think its the wrong way as you are adding time on luas and on bus, better to get luas in to Stephens green and walk over to Kildare street. Much quicker overall, it would take 30mins extra overall the other way I'd say.

better to get luas in to Stephens green and walk over to Kildare street.

Going to Dawson St (for airport bound LUAS) would give you a choice of services. Probably the best plan.
