    Hi Guys

I have very basic knowlegde of my boiler. Basically the fan kicks comes on but the flame never ignites. If i remove the tube between the vacuum switch and fan vent and suck in the air on the tube the flame ignites. if i squeeze the tube the flame stays ignited. i place the tube back in place and let go of the squeeze. the boiler stops immediatey

till the new year is in and i can get someone to fix this issue can i clamp that tube once the flame is lit. and leave it so? or is that not safe thing to do?

    Thanks
    Alan

You shouldn't be tampering with the components of the boiler , don't clamp any tube , the boiler isn't firing because a safety item has failed , and bypassing it can be dangerous , you need an rgi to test and replace the correct parts .

Don't mess with your boiler as your not trained or an experienced rgi.Look up the Rgii website for a rgi in your area that will repair the boiler as what your doing is dangerous and illegal
