Notice Employer VS Employee

    Hi All,
I am currently on a rolling contract, that states (in the initial contract) that I and the employer must give a months notice of termination. However, all of the contract extensions has stated that they employer only has to give me 1 weeks notice. I assume that also means I only need to give them 1 weeks notice also?

    Thanks

It may best to get clarified from you employer. But, usually I'd say you'd only have to give them the same notice that applies to you.

Ambiguity in a contract is in favour of the person that doesn't draw it up.

Not really; you can have two different notice periods depending on who's cancelling the contract but there's also legislated minimum notice period that will come into play.
