Parents laptop was riddled with so many viruses and mailware i lost track.

Anyway ive spent the past two days getting rid of everything. At the moment i am at the point where the following tools report zero infections

    AVG
    Microsoft Security Essentials
    Spybot Search and Destroy
    Mailwarebytes
    superantispyware

Ive also cleaned the registry using CCleaner.

However the laptop still has the following issues:
    1. Certain websites wont load. Eg. Google. Seems to be redirecting them to 87.125.87.103. Both IE7, 8 and Chrome are affected. (This has randomly started working again)
    2. Javascript wont work in IE. Ive checked the settings and it should. I reset everything to default and still nothing. This works in Chrome.
    3. IE wont recognise that flash is installed. Chrome works fine.

Check the browers and make sure the proxy opition is not selected. Can you access and use IE when in safe mode?

For the sites not working, check your hosts file (c:\windows\system32\drivers) - open "hosts" in notepad and see if there is anything strange there (values without a # at the start of the line).

All websites had started working for some reason and then i rebooted to check IE in safe mode and they stopped working again.

I checked the host file before and it was clean. However i just had a look now and the host file is missing.

Ok i found another thread online with a similar google redirecting issue.
I ran tdsskiller.exe from Kaspersky and it fixed that issue.

Still having issues with flash, java and active x on websites.

    This thread can be closed.

Ive gotten sick of trying to sort it out and just formatted and reinstalled the OS.

    Thanks anyway.
