Preventative sheep scab injections question

    Confused.com

Was told Closamectin would do as a preventative against scab in sheep. On reading the instructions it says "a second injection of an ivermectin only product" is needed 7 days later to treat clinical signs of scab and eliminate mites  Was never told that part.

Also have an older unopened but still in date 50ml of Ecomectin, which also needs a second injection 7 days later to "treat scab and eliminate mites". This isn't nearly enough to do all of the flock.

    I am confused now.

The flock doesn't have scab and I want to keep it that way.

Is there a simple way of doing this? A one off injection would be great.
