    Morning All,

I have just finished building a tree house for the kids and have started looking into wood preservative options.
It seems that the safety of wood preservative for childrens play houses is a bit of a minefield.
Can anybody offer any advice as to what is normally used on outdoor childrens play houses?

The material I have used is rough cut white deal.

    Thanks!

    Wavey.

As far as I know all the usual preservatives like Sadolin are OK for kids once dried.( would they really market a finish which is toxic ? ) The exception is Creosote but that is banned anyway.
Wooden toys are a different matter - there are enamel paints which are usually labelled 'child safe'
