HI I am on the hunt for an SLR and am getting bamboozled by all the models out there at the moment! [...]

I would really appreciate your thoughts on all of these cameras as I'm finding it hard to make a decision on which one to buy! Thanks a million :)

Actually why you're looking for DSLR? Your bridge camera is not enough anymore? I assume that you don't have any lenses yet, but unfortunately those are most important in SLR. Again, unfortunately those KIT lenses won't make your photography any better and you'll get rid of them pretty quickly. Also do you print your photos often in poster size? If not then you don't really need more than 10MP as you will easily get 16x20 inches photo.
Maybe you could take into consideration compact G1X or G15, those two are small but powerful cameras, however if you really like to have SLR then take a look at different lenses just because sooner or later you might pay an arm and a leg for really good lens.
What's your budget? You can get decent second hand full frame for €400-€700 (e.g. Canon 5d) plus nice lens for starters Canon 50mm f/1.8 (circa €80), but for similar price (circa €600) you can get brand new Canon G15 with very interesting lens 6.1-30.5mm f/1.8-2.8. All depends from your personal preferences, style, photography type and budget :)
Good luck and take a look here.

Thanks Sebphoto, I have the Nikon coolix l120 at the moment and while it takes a fab shot I have very limited control over shutter speed, manual zoom and aperture priority, photography is a hobby to me but I have signed up for an online photography course and some of sections require camera settings I know I do not have! I am also part of a camera club and find myself becoming more frustrated as time goes on as I cannot do some of our little exercises due to the restrictions on my camera. Budget is capped at €500 so if I can find a good camera for that amount I would be happy to go for it. Thanks for link to choosing camera post, am having good read on other peoples experiences
