That's what emirates have already 30kg and same type airplane, etihad are great airline but Abu Dhabi not as great lay/stop over as dubai. I find emirates great on the price hopefully this will bring down the price again.....

The same airplane yes but the Etihad Boeing 777 seating configuration of (3-3-3) is far roomier and more spacious than Emirates (3-4-3) which is shockingly cramped. I prefer Abu Dhabi airport myself as it is less busy and less commercialised than Dubai and perfect for a short 2-3hr hassle free layover. The airport in Dubai is a sprawling monstrosity with too many people and the queue for to go through Security can be horrendous. I've flown on Etihad in 2011 and Emirates this past year and with these recent improvements by Etihad I'd go with them each time unless Emirates were far cheaper.
