    Hi All,

Just wanted some help with choosing a used car.
    • Max budget is 13,500 euro
    • Min year would be 2010
    • Want something for a family of 4 - reasonable spaced
    • Dont mind a h/back or saloon
    • Yearly driving would be 24,000 km
    • Something economical - not to big of engine for insurance
    • A reliable brand with good resale value
All suggestions welcome. Thanks for all your help! smile.png

    Mary

Should be able to pick up a Hyundai i30 on your budget:

Plenty of space for a family of 4 and a decent size boot. Will have the balance of the Hyundai 5 year warranty left too.

Thank you op for clearly showing what you want in a car :)

When I'm at a laptop I'll suggest a few cars that fit your criteria :)

The i30 bazz suggested would definitely be my first choice.

here is the dacia price list
    http://forms.renault.ie/dacia_dec_pricelist_2012.pdf
    and the specs
    http://www.dacia.ie/media/pdf/att00099778/Dusterequipment.pdf

only thing the alternative seems to be missing is rear electric windows

If the OP doesn't really need the use of a SUV and other than a new one being somewhere near the OP's budget then I see no point in even looking at the likes of a Duster.

Might be able to snag that for €13.5k - especially at this time of year

    Hi All,

    It's me again!

Thanks all for all the suggestions. Had a good look at all and really liked some of your ideas!

Had another browse through some of the popular used car websites and seen a lot of nice skoda octavias. Has anyone here ever had one or know much about them?

Would appreciate it if someone had any idea about these and especially the 1.2 petrol engine.

Thanks for all your ideas, Really helped a lot!

    Mary.
