How to get rid of your image from a google search

    A google of my name shows up a picture of me of a few years ago when I was younger. Some stupid site that I don't know what its about or even remember signing up to. Is there any way to get rid of it from the search?

    Ask the site it is on to remove it, it will eventually disappear from Google search results once removed. 'Eventually' in this case can be 9-10 weeks as far as I am aware, open to.correction on that.

    if its on your site or a site you control - delete it

    The site your photo is on , is not necessarily the one that posted the original photo.

    As said above , if you have photos on a website like picaca web or maybe facebook , then it could have been exported and taken to another website , in some foreign country.

    If you can delete it yourself , do so , and it will dissappear in some weeks .

    Some schools have photos in the public domain too and local newspapers too

    That email won't work - you will get a reply to say that it is beyond their control and the responsiblilty is with the originating website .

    Is it a picture that you uploaded somewhere? Or is it one that someone else (eg a former friend) took and uploaded? In the 2nd case, you haven't got much hope of getting it moved, because you don't own any rights to the photo.

    I think it's the first, but I can't remember. It's from several years ago :pac:

    Not too worried I suppose. Just annoying.
