Canada: IEC 2013 - Police Clearance Question

    Hi,

I plan on applying for a Canadian Visa and I’ve been going through the checklist of documents that I need to put together when sending out my application. I’m a bit confused around the requirements for the police clearance. I’ve read on the embassy website that police clearance wasnt required from the Canadian authorities if you previously lived there. I did a two year stint back in 2008-2010 so Im unsure whether to follow what the site says or go out and look for a letter from the Canadian police? I’m a bit cynical when it comes to government procedures/requirements for various forms so if someone who has gone through this process before could offer advice it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Saggart

Travelled around BC mostly, spent a lot of my time in Whistler and Vancouver island. Its an amazing place.
