    Scumbags.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 976 ✭✭✭unseenfootage

Has the authenticity of the video been verified?

All we see is a bunch of fighters shooting at a plane which could be military or civilian.

There is no way of determining whether the voices are real or fake.

They could've been dubbed in a studio.

    Scumbags.

But wait, Obama and Cameron are sending these scumbags taxpayers money.

We are told these are the good guys, so it must be true.

Now just think...if they did shoot the plane down, the Western media would have said Assad did it

Has the authenticity of the video been verified?

So you need to see it on the BBC before you believe it?

BBC has been caught lying many times previously.

The plane must have moved awful fast after the 2nd shot, they turned the cannon about 100 degrees to the right.

Cant watch these videos on boards as flash isnt supported anymore. Is there any workaround? Will it mean I cant go through the boards app directly. Sorry for derailing thread.

Why are civilian airplanes flying over Syria?

    There is no Boards app...

Anything on the iTunes or Google Play stores advertised as a boards app are just browsers hotwired to Boards.

It's not surprising, Just like in Egypt and Libya the news channels are just telling one side of the story. This is a civil war with two sides, people are been killed on both the pro-assad side as well as the anti-assad side. But the western media tell the story as if 44,000 have been killed by assad troops and none by the rebels. Its time that there was fair reporting of the facts

Why are boards so reluctant to bring out an official app? How are people playing the videos.
No end in sight in Syria it seems.

Propaganda videos is rampant on both sides, another recent one is them dropping bread around a bomb site and claiming that the terrorists blew up a bakery.

No-one mentioned the BBC my friend and in fairness, YouTube hardly has a reputation for integrity or accuracy. While it would be shocking were it true the poster you mocked does raise some very valid points. These things need to be verified before we lose the run of ourselves and call for all sorts of things to happen.

The people on the plane prayed for them to miss, so they must have prayed harder:pac:

They have looked into it as far as I recall, but there was stuff they wanted to finish up on the site first.

    Site Development:

    Or,
    Feedback:
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=82

Would be better places to post and ask.

If whatever you are using hasn't been put up by boards or Distilled media, its not an official App.

Depending on the type of phone you are using,

    Android:
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1343
    or
    Apple Media devices:
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1176

    Might help with flash.

This is the main question. It seems odd that civilian airliner would be flying over a warzone.

The FSA isn't an army per say, it's a collection of militias, loosely bound by the fight against the government for various reasons and ideologies. Some want a new government and democracy, others are fighting to install a theocracy, and then there are some who just want to be the next collective in power. I'm not surprised that there are a few loose cannons (excuse the pun) firing at unidentified civilian aircraft, sure who do they have to answer to? If that plane had gone down, they'll suffer no punishment, sure who's gonna land them in jail anyway?

The sooner that civil war ends, the better, and it doesn't matter who wins, as long as a stable truce and peace holds.

wow, this is just like the time where the US Navy were accused of shooting down passenger jet TWA 800 over the Atlantic killing over 200 people. Of course there was a cover-up after the investigation which led to a charge of conspiracy theories emerging. There was no plausible or satisfactory outcome to the investigation. Link

Just because they're against Assad doesn't make them the good guys. People seem to think there are only two sides in this conflict which couldn't be further from the truth. There are literally dozens of disparate groups all vying for power, and not all of them have the best interests of the population at heart.

Hitting a relatively small object travelling very fast from far away with that thing.

Pretty much like trying to kill a rabbit by throwing tyres out the back of a moving hiace van while the rabbit is 100 meters away.

Every bit of information must be scrutinized, especially if it is from the BBC.
    ........

Alex Jones is running with the same narrative as you are.

Wasn't it him who alerted us about the fake bin laden videos?

Like Western Media says, that is unverified footage. And not all anti-Assad people are crazy Islamist, or crazy dictators, or crazies.

It could be quite likely that it was an internal flight father than an international one.
But there are still Civil flights in and out of Damascus, including international ones.
