Custom Fitting your set

    Hey

So I am a while out of playing but getting back into it at the moment.

I was a low single figure handicapper a few years back but due to work commitments I have had to lay off the golf for a few years which I am fixing at the moment.

I wanted to know what the price is approx to get my set custom fit these days and where would be the places to look?

I have been hitting the ball 2/3 times a week in the range (grass bays where possible) the last 3 weeks so I am striking the ball somewhat ok so I am confident my swing is somewhat ok (in need of some tweaking) So any advice on this?

The guy from foregolf, Derek Murray has a blog up about the cost of custom fitting on their website (foregolf.ie) which does a comparison of costs for a customer in which he says the guy would have paid €795 for a set of irons bought through them.

The article is in the blog section. It's their marketing material so it is only one side of the argument.

Just had a look at that, it states the existing set cost him €695 and the custom fit including new shafts and grips an additional €340 so overall they cost €935 for a playable set. Fair enough apart from €695 + € 340 = €1035 and not €935 so there's an error somewhere in the figures.

In terms of Foregolf though there's plenty of threads here about them and the vast majority of them very positive
