Saving direct to extsd card on superpad7?

Hi all. Got my son a superpad7 for christmas. Internal memory filled up quickly, so i bought an 8gb sd card for it. Thing is, i can't seem to save directly to this card. I have to download movies etc on my laptop and put them on the card first. Is there a workaround? Thanks
