Have You Noticed How Different AH is With All the Civil Servants on Holiday

None of that smug arrogance between 10AM and 4PM on weekdays.

Nice and relaxed around here too. No constant defending of government policies and calling people who do take issue with the EU 'conspiracy theorists'. No threads about where to get the best oysters in Thailand.

    It's a completely different board.

    Nearly all the mods absent...

The church bashing threads increased though to coincide with the time of year.

Indeed, and "where" is the right word. Where exactly? Apart from the Nurses, who I love. Mainly for their uniforms, and their general loveliness, not from the grumpy lazy ones though..

    I'll kick it off so...

The people that are paid by the state have guaranteed jobs, guaranteed pensions, guaranteed pay increases, long maternity leave, guaranteed payed sick days and lots of days off, can retire after 40 years of service with full benefits even if they're in their 50s.

    Call it public service bashing.
    Call it jealousy.
Call it private vrs. public sector.
Call it attacking the low paid.
Call it tax payers have a right to talk about what their tax money is being spent on.
Call it who the fook get's 4 months off a year.
Call it flaba daba taba boo boo.

    It's not right.

Ever notice that nearly everyone in the Civil Service is married to another Civil Servant?

They are not compatible with non-Partnership lifeforms.
