    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

To be honest, it's you. Most people in general and most people in here prefer the looks of coupes, sports cars, grand tourismos, convertibles and what have you to 4 door saloons. Except you and my missus that is :)

I still go for the W123 on the tax basis alone, but also the looks ( it's got the SLC window line without the ugly LWB look of the SLC ) A 280E coupe would give you the 6. Remember my NY resolution - look once, look twice, WALK AWAY

How about a V8 for that cruise to SoF ?? http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/vintagecars/4339322

That would be for me but would that small bit of attention to the engine end up costing a small mortgage?

I would rather have the Velour, as in the advertised car. And it was a higher end option than leather back then.

As long as I have my S320 unsold, could be years :eek:

If it's a bolt on part it wouldn't be huge, but if it was an internal part ........ !!!!

S'pose the New Year resolution doesn't start til 1 Jan :D:D:D

99 S320 W220 18" 5 spokes, Comand etc. - thought I mentioned it here before. Bought it 5-6 years ago (or more:confused: ), NCT'd it a few times but that was the only driving it got because I snapped up my E430 soon after I bought the S and the 430 was VEE-EIGHT :cool:

I see what you mean about the V8 :D the E430 is an enjoyable car to drive....

I've always liked the W220, but alas, no space... need to get rid of a few things before. The shed is full. :(

My E430 is not de-badged... it's something i've been thinking about for a while. Other than the badge, it looks like a bog standard E200.... it's great for confusing boy racers :D

TBH Mine's not exactly de-badged, have 2 bits of black electrical tape ('prototype' style :p ) over the 'E430', a 'temp' measure 4-5 years ago and still in place :o

    Have an SLK230 badge that I could swop the '4' for a '2' = E230 ( non-existant 00 model ;) .

    Car needs a damn good overhaul/valet - when I get time :o

Nice to drive a 'sleeper' , sneaky fun and then blend back into traffic
