    I have a wedding in a few months.how much cash should i give my brother?im working and will be going by myself.

    That's a standard amount in my family and what friends would give to siblings.

    for me its what you can afford. my bro got married last year. 3 siblings.
    sibling in good job gave 200.
    sibling working in not well paid job gave 100
    sibling not working gave 50.

    And even then that was after the bro told the lesser well off not to put anything in an envelope, he's doing well for himself so didnt need it and it would have made him happier to see them hold on to it but they felt like they wanted to give something.

    I have a BIL getting married next year, himself and the intended are not very well off, there may be more going in that envelope if we can afford.
