I've been playing Catan with a group a friends a lot in the last while, and it's great, but i was wondering if anyone can suggest something similar to play just for a bit of diversity.

There's only so many games i can lose in a row.

You could try Carcassone, or Puerto Rico. Look them up on boardgamegeek.com

Puerto Rico is a must(the best game I ever played), but the game components suck (no ilustrations on the buldings to expensive to have such a simple componenent design...).Carcasone is cheap and quite nice (but you'll end up buying expansions :-) )

Depends what you like about Catan and what direction you want to push in. There's nothing quite like Catan out there but obviously plenty of great titles to discover!

Personally, I think Ticket to Ride is the other must have entry level game. Plays fast but is fun and engaging.
