VW Passat TDI Oil Service Interval

    Hi,

I bought a 2009 VW Passat Diesel Bluemotion a few months ago (I think its 1.9). The oil was changed when I bought it and I have done 8,000km since.

Can anyone tell me what is the oil change interval for this car. The owners manual says that if the diesel sulfur content is low in your country then its 15,000km, otherwise its 7,500km.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Our diesel is low sulphur, I can't see why 15k kms between changes wouldn't be fine.

Normal fixed interval would be 15k km or an old fashioned 9 to 10k miles. Any more would be overkill imo. Very important that correct oil is used though. I figure the oil should meet vw spec 507 00.

    As above, 15,000km is ideal.
