Tab 2 10.1 Screen problem

I got a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 for Christmas, but I'm having a problem with the touch screen. Sometimes, when I turn it on from a powered down state, I can't swipe to unlock. The screen doesn't respond at all. I have to press the power off and on and then I can unlock it and it works fine after that.
I have a feeling it happens when it's been off for a long time, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I've updated the software to the latest version and it hasn't solved the problem.

    Anybody seen this issue before?

    Thanks.

Swipe unlock is not very secure. Change to a pin and see if you still have the problem

Good idea, I'll try that tomorrow!
