SSD in MacBook Pro

I have a MacBook Pro from 2007 running Snow Leopard and I recently bought a SSD drive on amazon. Can I just clone my hard drive to the new SSD and install it into my machine or do I need to do anything else to get it to work. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. What is the story with Trim? The SSD I bought Samsung 840 Series 250GB 2.5 inch SATA Solid State Drive is Trim compatable according to the Samsung website. Does this mean that it should work without any problems?

I don't think there's any need for TRIM with the Samsung 840. I never enabled it anyway.
