Good garage experience

    Thought I would share a recent experience; smashed the driver side mirror on the car so I sourced the part online and took it to a garage.

    Left the car with them, but it turns out I got the wrong part. When I came back the guy had dismantled the old mirror and the new and built a working mirror out of them. Didn't charge anything extra, despite it probably taking double the time for the repair.

    I would have expected them to simply tell me I have the wrong part and send me on my way, very good and surprising service. Great price for the work too. To top it off they took the car in after my own work at 6pm and worked on it right then.

    Place is called Quick Dent I think, in Dolphins Barn, St. James Terrace. Not affiliated with them in any way other than being a once off customer. They have a full spray room there and a good setup, a lot more than just dents; they'll certainly be getting my business again.

    Anyone else have good experiences like that with independent garages?

    Great to hear a good news story.
    I use Imaal Auto Services in Cabra
    They look after me my Megane whenever I drop it in for a service.

    Had a problem with my heating recently, dropped it and and they fixed it no problem -I had the vent closed as it happened (the reason I'm not a mechanic) :D
