    I
'm thinking of planting a hedge, i was going to go for evergreen leylandi,
but after some consultation here, i decided against it.
now im thinking of whitethorn, which is more practical for the location.
what do you guys think of the whitethorn below on donedeal? its not a lot of money, 100 plants should do the bit i need. if i need more its no hassle to get it.
50 euro for 100 plants, incl delivery?

doubt you will get free del for just 100 plants. double row about staggered with a space of 18" along the rows. so a plant needed every 9" of your total length, so work from that.

I would always plant them at around 6" spacing. double row staggered is a great job too but would keep a lot tighter than 18".

2 rows staggered a foot apart and a foot between the plants is what the AEOS had us at. It's a good thick hedge. Don't be afraid to stick an odd Holly or Hazel or Spindle into the hedge for biodiversity.
