Scrapping a car?

    Silly question but Has anyone any advice on scraping a car in Wicklow? Where/who to bring it too, it's 12yrs old and running fine so wouldn't mind making a few quid if possible... Only if the people are licenced though...

    If the car is running fine, why don't you sell it?
    Even without nct you may get few hundreds for it.
    What make/model, if you don't mind me asking?

    Newtownmountkennedy is the best place. A key or screwdriver should do the job!

    ????? But are they licensed to scrape cars there ..... I always find the side of another car or a Bollard useful for a DIY job....

    Scraping it will give you nothing.

    Scrapping it might give you a few bob. Try selling first

    There are no shortage of scrap merchants willing to take your car away for cash.

    Spend €5 on donedeal and see what happens. I was facing an offer of €100 for scrap, put an ad on donedeal and 4 hours later car was gone and €300 in my pocket just in time for xmas.
