I have an Acer 5920G for four years and used it for thousands of hours, never had a problem with it. Has even fallen out a backpack and crashed against the ground, has a few cracks in case, but working fine. Only problem was it's charger breaking, but that's normal for laptops.

Also had a Dell for a few years, never had any problems with it.

Lenovo and Asus are the most reliable, Avoid Dell, HP and Packard Bell like the plague.

There is a graph somewhere on the internet google 'most reliable laptop'.

It's not actually good value, was super overpriced in the first place.

Best place to get laptops is Argos, they have both the best and worst priced laptops because they don't have a clue at all. Their prices are based on the RAM and hard drive which are the least important parts. What you need to look for is the processor and Graphics card.

When buying a laptop you should pick a size that suits you and then the only think you should compare intially is the processor with passmark. everything else can be changed cheep, the processor decides how fast the laptop runs any process.l
