Airport Transfers - Advice

Doing the DIY ski trip this year as in not using a cyrstal or topflight, I have hotel and flight sorted more or less but the transfer from resort to airport and back is what I need some guidance on. Firstly should I pre-book something and if so can anyone advise me or any good sites. Alternatively has anyone ever left it until they arrive at an airport to start looking for transfer to resort, I know it may not be too bad if you have a group of 7-8 to get a minibus type taxi but there is only 4 of us which may mean a taxi could work out a bit expensive or would it? I would welcome any advice on the above. Oh and by the way Flying in to Lyon and heading to Les Deux Alpe during first week of feb!

Look at the wesite for Lyon airport to see what buses and coaches go from there to ski resorts. There are usuallly several go each day.

We did DIY last year, and a few years ago. The airport website and the resort website are usually good places to start. You should ask the tour operators about transfers as well. We did our own flights and acom last year and used Crystal transfers. Worth checking what car rental would be as well.

Have you looked at going the public transport route for some mega cheap transfers? You are able to get public busses from Grenoble train/bus station to L2A for like 3 euro n it takes 40 mins. A few go every day that time of the year. Why don't you look at getting a train/bus from Lyon to there? It's on the way to L2A from Lyon anyways
