    Leaving aside documentaries such as The Imposter and Marley, I have narrowed down a list of films released in Irish cinemas this year to ten titles.

    Obviously, some may complain that their favourite film did not make the cut (e.g. Killer Joe or Sightseers).

    I have also deliberately chosen films which did not reach as wide an audience as the more obvious hits (Skyfall, The Dark Knight Rises, Avengers Assemble).

    So, of the ten films listed above, which was your favourite? And do give a reason for your choice.

    Already another thread on the subject here OP, and the annual film awards are ongoing (second batch of nomination threads to go up later today) to give everyone a chance to nominate and vote for their favourite cinematic achievements of the year!
