    Hi there,
Im trying to sort out a transfer from Dublin airport to Heuston station onSun Jan 6th at 10pm.
My flight from Munich lands at 9:40pm and the last bus from Dublin to Limerick leaves Heuston at 22:35 or busaras 5 mins earlier.

Is it possible to make it from the airport to Heuston in 40mins approx by public transport at this time of a sunday night?

Many thanks, and apologies for not knowing the routes in dublin!!
    Thank you

The 747 looks almost perfect, but will it make it by 22:35? dodgy id say...

You're cutting it very short. You can take the 747 direct from Dublin Airport to the central bus station and then onto Heuston (Heuston is a rail station).

One leaves the airport at 10pm and then 10.20pm. I work in the airport and the late flights are often delayed, what will you do if it's delayed?

EDIT: You're not going to make the 10pm bus. 9.40 is the landing time, it will take another 15-20 minutes for the aircraft to taxi in, the airbridge to connect and passengers start to leave. Then there's the possible queue at GNIB (immigration), then waiting for a bag in the baggage hall, then the walk to the terminus (it's in T1, you will be landing in T2).

    Thank you,
    I land 21:45 T2 aer lingus...
Im not checking a bag, which might save a few mins but you're right... Its going to be very tight...

My other option is that i drive, pay tolls, pay for parking etc...
Feck, i'll prob have to do that

I dont know of any bus/train later than 22:30 on a sunday night dublin to limerick

I think i'll get the jjkavanagh at 00:30.
It'll mean 2 hours waiting around and a 4 hour bus, but i'll save 50 quid...

but you'll probably spend about 15-20 on food/drink and be miserable, treat yourself and spend the extra.

Take a taxi OP. There won't be much traffic at that time on a Sunday night. The driver will be able to zip into town pretty quickly. Should cost no more than 20-25 quid. The 747 bus would cost you 6 euros anyway, so you're only spending 15 quid or so more to get you on the bus that you want to take, guaranteed, with very little hanging around involved, or worrying if you'll make it in time.
