indicator relay

    I bought this relay before christmas and I am woundering where the wires go.or what the letters mean. Could anyone tell me .......thanks

    It appears to be a mechanical flasher unit (doesn't use electrical resistance to operate the switching), here's a wiring digram:

    X = Positive supply
    P = Supply to dashboard telltale light (one single light for both directions)
    L = Supply to indicator switch

    What do I do when I have 4 wires I have a earth ,a positive, and 2 coming from the switch what do I do in this case. ..

    I joined the live wire and the earth wire and it started ticking but how do you stop it ticking and Thelast wire is that to give power to the switch ... someone give me an answer thanks. ....

    You have the wirring diagram above. This is the only way to wire this flasher unit.

    What sort of tractor is this for?

    The p terminal is only to connect the dashboard indicator.

    You stop it ticking with the switch

    You need to place the switch so when its centred it breaks the circuit.

    Also you need a fuse placed close to the battery.

    If you can't follow the diagram. Get some help bad wirring leads to fires
