I've never been skiing before, and am going for the first time on the 29th. I'm afraid of doing myself a mischief so want to get ahead and watch some videos online about how to begin to learn to ski. Anyone got any youtube channels/ websites to recommend?

Have a look at Darren Turner's vids on Youtube - just search "Ski School App". There's a range of beginner/inter/advanced lessons on there.

Do not learn online, Kilternan is open for the next 3 days, book some lessons learning on line you will not get the feel for being on skis or a board.

Agree that it's hard to see how you could learn properly online. Word of caution about learning in Kilternan though. I went before my first ski trip and it nearly put me off. It's not like falling on snow, it bloody hurts. Nearly put me off to be honest. Much preferred it when I got to the actual snow.

No, I haven't, but that's good to hear. Might be heading out before going skiing in Feb. Course I'll hopefully not be falling over quite as much this time either!!!

    Agree and disagree. Do both!
You can learn an awful lot of what not to do from devent youtube vids.
Going to kilternan for a day adds about 3 days to your hols. You Wont be a expert or even intermefiate but youll be a solid beginner.
