Hey so this is just a general how are you enjoying Christmas? Are you feeling the Christmas cheer or are you more in a 'bah humbug' kind of mood?

Personally im finding it a little boring this year. I'm spending time in my parents house in Cork (usually live in the midlands) for the holidays and I do miss my own house/bedroom/friends etc. Just looking forward to a nice dinner tomorrow :).

    So how about you guys?

So far so good. This time last year things were pretty tense between me and my mum (her not wanting me to be out to the wider family, me hoping to get married in the near future so not agreeing with that) but this year that's all behind us (and the wedding is in 3 months :D ).

It's a little lonely because my sister moved to England this year for work and she won't get home till late tonight and she'll be leaving again on St. Stephen's Day, but I'm glad to have tomorrow with her.

Also, I get what you mean about missing your own house. It's nice to have your own space and I don't feel like I have that in my mum's house either. So long as you remember it's only for a few days, though, it isn't so bad.

Just sitting down to the first of the mince pies, all of the fairy lights are on in every window and on the tree, the OH has just lit the Christmas candle, the turkey, ham and every conceivable type of food are sitting in the fridge waiting for tomorrow, the umpteenth cd of carols is playing and the rain is battering the front door (well, it is Kerry after all :) )

It's nice to sit and think about times past and hopefully good and better times to come. If you're feeling a bit lonely or stressed out I hope things will improve and don't be shy about coming on here and having a bit of a chat.

Hope all of us here on the LGBT forum have a great Christmas and a very very happy New Year. Thanks for all of the posts, the humour, the wit, the kind words and good advice.

Big group hug all around!! :D

Couldn't be bothered with any of it unfortunately. Looking forward to the 26th when all this booze and forced cheer is over with. But also looking forward to dinner in my mums tomorrow I guess.

On the subject of having your own space - living with a couple at the moment who are ALL about the Christmas, which makes it bloody difficult to claim any space for myself at all. I can't even enjoy being a grumpy fecker with all their decorating and Christmasifying going on.

Oh well. Think I've just got a case of the winter blues, and so far Christmas isn't compensating.

Just finished work after an 8 and a half hour shift. A bit too tired to feel Christmasy!

I think it's all for the kids anyway, but I don't mind the time off. Six lovely exams waiting for me in January is taking the fun out of it.

Just vaguely remembering that I promised myself something as 2012 began. It'll be nice in years to come to say that this is the year I finally did something other than worry about being gay!
Thanks for all of the posts, the humour, the wit, the kind words and good
    advice.

    +1 :)

    Merry Christmas, everyone! :D

    Now, to have a drink!

Merry Christmas, lads and lassies. :)

Sitting by the fire, a glass of vino, Josh Groban's "Noel" playing in the background and all the pressies ready to be given out in the boot of the car. Yes indeed, it's Christmas time and I love it.

After my traditional Christmas mug of espresso I'm sure it will be going swimmingly.

    Merry Christmas you lot.

Have had a lovely day with the oh and her family.

Have a slight bit of sadness as my mum and I are currently not speaking due to her not approving of my choice of partner. Hopefully the next year will bring some improvement on this.

I hope everyone has had a lovely day :) merry Christmas :)
