Remove Ford Mondeo Radio (6000)

    Hi folks,
    I have a 2005 Ford mondeo and I need to remove the radio to get serial code.

    I dont have the keys to get at it, does anyone know where I can get these or if there is a guide on how to do it?
    I see Halfords have a set but I am not sure if they will work...

    Guys can anyone please help me, I have put the radio keys in to unlock but now 2 of them are stuck. I can't remove them or unlock....


    Any ideas

    I had the same problem. It was because i wasn't being forceful enough. Push the keys in as far as they'll go(they should click in place).

    You then have to pull the keys towards the back window to get the radio out, while also pulling each key towards the nearest door to release the clips.

    To remove the keys, only pull them directly out and not sideways. You could also.use a screwdriver to detach them before re-inserting the radio.

    Isn't there a sequence of buttons you can.press to get the serial no. without removing the radio? Buttons 2 and 6 or something?

    No that radio just will not come out... Is there Ny other way to get the serial number...?

    did you try press buttons 2 and 6?

    if you could get that radio number, i have software here, will tell you code straight away.

    Thanks folks I got the code by holding 6 and 2 and using the online tool... If only I had known... I think there is some damage done to the radio in the holes used to remove it but it doesn't matter too much now...
