Does anyone know of an orthodontist who would be open tomorrow in Dublin. One of the brackets on my sons braces has come lose and I need it fixed asap. His own ortho is closed now for the holidays until 7th January, and I cant leave it till then. Any info much appreciated.

I wouldnt let another person put a bracket back on TBH, best leave it to your orthodontist. Why cant it wait till Jan? If the bracket is off and still on with a elastic then any dentist can take that off to tide him over.

Was concerned that this could affect the treatment - wouldnt the missing bracket effect the pressure being put on the teeth? Sorry if I sound daft - he only got the braces in September and this is the first "issue" we have had - great timing too, 2 days before Xmas!

More than likely all you will loose is some time in treatment. The tooth with the missing bracket will not be under pressure to move, not a lot can really happen in a week or two.
