Did or have you sent christmas cards or is it a fast dying out tradition in this digital age,I do receive a few e-mailed Christmas cards, the kind sent simultaneously to dozens or perhaps hundreds of persons, I don’t come away with the same warm glow inside that I get from a couple of handwritten paragraphs penned,I like it when someone takes the time to think of yours truly and my spouse as persons worthy of a personal note, however brief.what about you ?

    No I never send them.
I do give extra money to local groups doing bag packing around this time of year though instead of sending cards. At least that way the money collected goes direct to the cause because the volunteers are indeed volunteers & not paid employees.

Yes, I send them. A few overseas but mostly in Ireland and a mixture of family and friends.

I love getting them and sometimes its the only time of the year when people put pen to paper, as opposed to text/email.

I must admit though, I send less and less each year. Down to about 30 this year.

Tbh, im just writing all mine now while watching Scrooged :), I either hand deliver them if their family like aunties etc or leave an email card thingy, and anyone else I put their card with their gift so they get both :)

    Return To Sender.

Not only is it a great song, it's great advice too.

Is that the thing where you drip a candle wax and seal it with a ring?

Did you also send them by Raven?

Yep always do, I thinks it's nice to show extended friends & family that you are thinking of them over Christmas even if you've been so busy during the year to keep in contact properly :-)

If I had one, I might have :p
You have to use specific wax for it, candle wax would be too thin. And yeah, you can buy a seal stamp with a design or initials.
    I think it's cool
    I do also have a glass dipping-fountain pen and a quill ;)

I send cards every year and received cards from all my friends this year. I think it's nice and shows people you are thinking of them.

That's brilliant. How might one go about getting onto your mailing list?

We sent about 15 cards this year, with personalised messages and all, but we mixed up all the envelopes so that people would receive cards written with someone else in mind. How badly this may backfire remains to be seen.

I hand delivered my cards to the people I care about. If you didnt get one from me personally then you dont mean **** to me.

Or you live very far away from me

I sent some out. I love doing it, and there's nothing nicer than getting a card in the post.
