    Hi,
I've been waiting for three months now for JSB to coming through as its been held up by my last employer which is getting sorted now. I finally got SWA sorted after three weeks and got a cheque for X which the post office refused to cash it today as it was XX over the amount they do, I'm still going to try my local post office tomorrow but I'm wondering does anyone know what are bank policies on SWA cheques keeping in mind its a BOI cheque and I have my account in a different bank as it would be nice not to be completely broke for christmas and to get some bills cleared.

Banks and post offices are closing a half day on Monday 24th. I would think your own bank branch is a better bet. Post office will not cash large cheques.
