Been away from home last few months but return home to notice the very frequent disturbance to the smooth running of TV thru digital..almost like Buffering when streaming but only last a milisecond....its ok watchin TV just can get anoying... but if listening to a song it would ruin it..
any ideas why this might be?? We have a dish outside and I presume receive the signal from that....tho parents have gotten rid of sky subscription.

The TV forum is for discussing the shows, not the hardware.

I've moved this to the Terrestrial forum.

Seems you have a signal quality problem. If it's only on channels viewed on a Sky box, or other satellite receiver, then the dish or associated cables & connections will be involved.

Saorview is the Irish channels only (RTE, TV3/3e & TG4). These channels are not available using Sky equipment without a subscription. Saorview is received using a UHF aerial (not a satellite dish), from terrestrial transmitting masts.

Further to Ronnie's post above you'll have to clarify which service you're referring to, Saorview via an aerial or a satellite service.

    Where are you located approximately?
If Saorview have you tried rescanning, there have been a couple of Saorview frequency changes since July last?
What Saorview receiver are you using?
Is the aerial pointing at the correct transmitter and are you using the correct aerial, http://www.saorview.ie/what-is-saorview/make-the-switch ?
