    Internet Advertising

    Is it me?

In the past few months i have noticed a large increase in somewhat intrusive adverts. Many of the infamous media players, such as youtube, bbc etc have ads on many things i click on to watch, some up to 30 secs long.

Then more and more websites i visit have those kinda active ads where you click on the x to close them but this is getting a little more tricky(few more secs od ad) as time goes on, as well as them being displayed bigger and bolder!!
What will it be like in 5 years time!!! I know advertisement is big business but in the internet world i think its a fine line that some appear to be crossing

    rant over

I've been using Firefox with Adblocker Plus for years. Is everyone not onto this trick yet?

The ironic thing about this thread is it's turned into an advertisement for Ad Blocker, which is all good considering it's free.

+ forgetme ... for cheeky sites that leave local storage objects

wipes everything a site has stored on your computer about who you are.
