    Hi all,
I'd previously enquired how I could use my freview tv in dublin. I established if i bought a freeview hd box it was backwards compatible with saorview channels ie i should recieve rte channels and possibly some freeview channels.

Today I went to plug it in to aerial point in bedroom ( of apartment block, bootertown area) scanned for channels no none received... Not even rte.

Living area has cable so can't verify/test in there.
Tv shop suggested it could be the wy the apt block is set up and to contact management company as could be communial aerial.

    Any suggestions?

Do as suggested, and contact the management. An indoor aerial might get you Saorview.

Prior to tuning the freeview hd box into my tv in Booterstown i had tested/ tuned it into my tv in the north. I received full channels.
As i has already tuned the box in initially when up north could this have affected what I received when plugged in in booterstown? I did o a re tune in booterstown, twice, no signal for any channels

I would say your aerial wall socket is likely to connect to a UPC distribution setup so unlikely you'll get Saorview from it
