I met Shane a couple of times at forestry functions,he was one of the good guys and seemed genuinly interested in getting farmers a better return for their efforts. We should all be careful in critising others as we dont know what pressures they may have, anyway Shane rest in peace and our prayers are with your family and friends.

We should all be careful to critise ohers when its appropiate, noone is responsible for anothers pressures or should curtail our right to free speech as someone may have other pressures, especially polititions who have very thick skins when it comes to sticking it to the less well off in our society, especially after voting for the budget that has just gone through.

if you go into politics then you expect to get it in the neck from the public, and what has happened is not down to one thing, one should be careful with analysis of this issue and pointing the finger to only one aspect.
