I have Diseq 1.0 on the Technomate using 4 LNB's and wonder whether I will be able to use it, the Diseq switch , when I connect a simpe FTA box (with Diseq ) to the loop-out. The Technomate would be in standby.
P.S. Don't have the FTA box yet, thinking of buying. This is only for sat radio reception.
    thanks

    OR
another method of splitting output from Diseqc 1.0 to 2 sat receivers, maintaining of course the switching functionality of Diseqc

    🧐IMHO, God wants us all to ENJOY many,many ice-creams , 🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦

Not 100% certain, but it may work, although the moment you switch on the receiver you have looped out from, it will determine what can be received, i.e. you will be tied to the transponder frequency it is tuned to and only that transponder (although you will be able to switch channels within that particular transponder frequency) others will add to this and correct me if I'm wrong.

    read the manual again

in some cases there are warnings not to have both receivers on at the same time ! in which case Do Not Pass Go.

    - there may be intelligent switches out there where the slave is allowed to control the LNB IF the master isn't powered up - this is what you want

another option is to get a manual A/B switch - and only changeover when both boxes are off
    this sort of thing http://www.tvtrade.ie/manual-satellite-switch.html
not sure how much they reduce the signal by

You can get a splitter with power pass, the receiver connected to the red line chooses the LNB and the band it downconverts - but the slave won't power the LNB if the master is turned off

If you only want sat radio from one satellite then get an LNB with more than one output and run a second cable

The preferred solution is multiple outputs from the LNB's with a diseqc per receiver unless you want more than four receivers and then you are into distribution boxes
