    Hi all,

I have a HP laptop and everything was working fine. When I went to turn it on today it made all the usual start up noises and all the lights on the keyboard came on but the screen doesnt show up anything! Is there anyway that I can fix this? I've tried pressing the Fn + F8, F2, F11, F12 buttons but that didnt work. I also took out the battery and lead, held the power button for a minute and plugged back in the lead but that didnt help either!! What can I do to fix it or is it gone to laptop heaven??

Boot it from a live cd (ubuntu) and see what happens.
