Do you spend too much time watching the television? I'm not a big viewer anymore. It is but chewing gum for the eyes.

So you're saying that every programme that is produced for television is crap? Bit of a colossal generalisation isn't it?

Is television any less of an artform than opera or theatre? There's been plenty of nonsense produced for those also.

For every 100 "I'm a celebrity's" there might be one "Sopranos" or "The Wire" - which are true masterpieces. If it takes 100 series of gutter trash tv to make one episode of pure art, then IMO the price is fair.

No but my flat mate does....I curse the day technology made it easy for her to plan her evening and have pop up reminders for everything. Means I never know whats on the box unless I can watch it online.

No, I have a perfectly healthy relationship with my box, thank you very much.

I give it a good wipe down with a clean, moist tissue often and it's served to entertain me well for years and years now... and long may it continue.

    What's wrong with chewing gum?

If you're talking about actual television, broadcast and received by an aeriel/satellite, no, not really.

Most of my viewing comes from either Netflix or another method of acquiring movies or TV series.
