Stellah guitars & basses?

    Anyone had one?
Think they were any good compared to other stuff?
I was thinking of picking up a Squier or Yamaha bass to mess around on but came across these and was thinking to myself I could pick up a bass and a tele to play with for around about the same money.

I've done a few little bits of set-up on guitars before so I don't mind that, it's just whether they're cheap and nasty or cheap and cheerful!?

They've been mentioned in a couple of threads here so try searching for mentions.

I have no experience with them but they're probably no worse than, say, SX guitars.

to be honest i've come across some sx guitars that weren't actually too bad.A bit heavy on the gloss bit sound wise they're ok.I've played a stellah tele on the other hand and it was just muck.It looked nice, but to listen to and play it was just horrific. Then again it might just have been the one i played.

That's fair enough - like I said, I've never tried one! I've always quite liked SX guitars. When I was younger a lot of people I knew had them and I thought they were nice.

I bought a stellah 5 string bass, specifically for gigging with the original band I'm in as I'm prone to knocks and dents and didn't want to wreck my other instruments.
Gigging it a year now with zero trouble.
Stays in perfect tune, all pots in perfect condition.
Would defo recommend one for a spare regardless.
Can't speak for the guitars tho as I haven't tried them.
