I've got a really bad memory, so here's my list based on what came to mind. :)

    Fight of the year
    Martinez v Chavez Jr
I suspect Rios v Alvarado was probably more of a legitimate fight of the year, but I didn't see it....

    KO of the year
I was hoping not to pick really mainstream moments, but Marquez KO of Pacquiao is hard to avoid. For the one punch finality in such a closely matched fight between two of the best fighters around it kind of has to get it.

    Surprise result of the year
Bradley getting the decision against Pacquiao.

    Biggest disappointment of 2013
Lucian Bute. I had seen very little of him and bought into the hype. I couldn't believe how out of his depth he was.

Which fighter will make it big in 2013
Adrien Broner. Although it might be tough to get some really big-impact matchups for him.
I'm still not sure if Canelo Alvarez has truly made it big or not yet?..

Fight you wanna see in 2013
I'm truly bored of the whole Mayweather v Pacquiao thing. I'm intrigued by a Mayweather v Alvarez fight though.
Also, Nonito Donaire v Abner Mares. But that won't happen.

This is my list until I see other peoples responses and realise I missed something really obvious!

    Marquez / Pacquiao

    Surprise result of the year
Froch beating the living shít out of Bute.

    Biggest disappointment of 2012
    Miguel Cotto

Which fighter will make it big in 2013
    Carl Frampton

Fight you wanna see in 2013

    Fight of the Year

    Alvarado Vs Rios

    KO of the Year

    Marquez Vs Pacquiao

    Suprise of the Year

    Chisora going distance with Vitali

    Biggest Dissapointment

Chavez, i thought he might give Martinez a tough fight but god he was destroyed

Fighter who will make it Big in 2013

Tyson Fury will get a title shot this year, Danny Garcia has already got a lot of attention and reckon he will get even bigger next year

    Fight you wanna see

    Mayweather Vs Martinez

    Fight of the year

Orlando Salido vs Juan Manuel Lopez II

    KO of the year

Juan Manuel Marquez vs Manny Pacquiao

    Surprise result of the year

    Garcia vs Amir Khan probably.

Cotto giving Floyd his toughest fight since Castillo, and the ease with which Ward dispatched Dawson were tow of the more notable surprises from the year.

    Biggest disappointment of 2013

Andy Lee going down fairly timidly to Chavez Jr

Which fighter will make it big in 2013

Gennady Golovkin. I don't think there's a safer bet in boxing. He won't get Jr or Sergio next year, but HBO love him and he plans to stay busy. He'll destroy anyone he faces at 160lbs outside of Sergio, and I think he'd demolish a lot of names at Super Middleweight. The mega-fights may have to wait until 2014 but I think he'll be P4P rated this time next year.

Fight you wanna see in 2013

Mayweather vs Martinez, but that's pie in the sky.

Also pie in the sky but somewhat more likely is Lucas Matthysse vs Adrien Broner @ 140. I think it would make for a fantastic night of entertainment.

    edit: a few more

    Fighter of the Year

Nonito Donaire. Dominated a division he wasn't even in this time last year. A good division too.

    Round of the Year

Round 12 of Martinez vs Chavez Jr. Heart-stopping stuff.

    Trainer of the Year

    Robert Garcia

    Feelgood Moment of the Year

Sergio Martinez beating nepotism, cronyism, and outright corruption to take back what was rightfully his.

    Fight of the year
Easily Salido vs Lopez. Cracker of a fight.

    KO of the year
Marquez KO purely for the shock factor.

    Surprise result of the year
Sonny Boy Jaro vs Pongsaklek Wonjongkam. Thai boxer was in peoples top 10 pound for pound and was beat by a nobody.

    Biggest disappointment of 2012
    Mayweather and pacman not fighting

Which fighter will make it big in 2013
Golovkin. Seemed like a beast in his last fight.Great amateur pedigree.

Fight you wanna see in 2013

    KO of the year

    donaire nishioka / marquez pac

    Surprise result of the year

Froch Bute more for the way it went

    Biggest disappointment of 2013

Barnes not getting the nod over Zhou Ming. Bute. What a prick for foolin everyone. Magee going down so easily and predictably to Kessler was depressing.

Which fighter will make it big in 2013

Carl Frampton I hope. Canelo if he beats or doesnt fight Mayweather.

Fight you wanna see in 2013

Andre Ward vs Kessler/Froch or anyone who will put it up to him
    Kessler vs Froch

    Macklin Chavez

Fight of the year: JJN vs. Valdez QF London 2012. Epic ebb and flow stuff.

KO of the year. Had to be JMM over Manny. I did love the beauty of Donaire's KO a couple of weeks back vs. Jorge Arce.

Surprise result: JMMs manner of victory over Manny. Froch's manner of victory over Bute.

    Biggest disappointment: Bute

Big in 2013? I think Gamboa will be a candidate here.

    Fight I wanna' see: Floyd-Canelo. Price-Fury. Price-Haye.

My personal big big disappointment was Paddy Barnes not getting gold in London. He deserved the nod in the semis. And he would have dominated the final I felt. Gutted for him.

I forgot to add in pro fight of the year. Well, it had to involve the 21st centuries Arturo Gatti. Mentioned earlier in the thread: Rios-Alvarado. Reminds me of the uniqueness and greatness of this sport.

    Fight of the year
Lee Haskins vs Stephane Jamoye edges Rios vs Alvarado

    KO of the year
    Marquez ko Pacquiao

    Surprise result of the year
Sonny Boy Jaro knocking out Pongsaklek Wonjongkam, if anyone predicted it beforehand you'd have said they belong in a mental asylum.

    Biggest disappointment of 2012

JJN's loss to Luke Campbell in the Olympic final, not a slight on Nevin but this had me more gutted than anything else.

Which fighter will make it big in 2013

Leo Santa Cruz will be one of the biggest names in the sport by the end of next year. Special mention to Khalid Yafai, although he'll still only be at British/European level by the end of the year he'll emerge as a real talent.

Fight you wanna see in 2013
Frampton vs Quigg and Golovkin vs Martinez

I haven't watched it back since, but for viewing at the time that certainly gave the most excitement imo. It's a fight that many will have missed out on, being shown on ESPN UK(who don't show regular boxing) at the same time as a card on SKY Sports, and also involving Lee Haskins who is sometimes a cure for insomnia, I wasn't expecting much. How wrong could I have been !

thats why i went for the katie natasha fight. I havent been as emotional and drawn to a fight since mccullough and carruth in 92. It meant so much more than her 2 others as this was the moment she announced herself on the olympic stage, just incredible. sth about the rios alvarado fight that didnt click with me. wil watch your rec now.

Fight of the year - Martinez vs. Chavez Jr.
Mayweather vs. Cotto was another cracking fight

KO of the year - There can only be one and it's Marquez ko'ing pacman, real hollywood shít.
Garcia's Ko on Morales was another sweet punch, spun him around and dumped him on the canvas.

Surprise result of the year - Froch dismantling Bute so quickly

Biggest disappointment of 2013 - Ricky Hatton coming back to box

Which fighter will make it big in 2013 - Carl Frampton for a world title match should Kiko show up and lose (two big if's)

Fight you wanna see in 2013 - Mayweather vs Martinez, Froch vs. Kessler II, Khan vs. decent opponents his own size.

As much as I love Marquez I'd like to see him retire, he will never have a more perfect time. Boxers never do though, we'll see.
