    when it appeared on Reddit earlier in the summer the internet was all over it, once something becomes popular then people quickly get sick of it, tis the circle of life for crazes.

    So fortunate that when I started listening to music it was when Punk had just happened and when I finished it was when Louis Walsh started exporting his cancers.

    I feel lucky to have been part of a blessed generation considering the incredible and diverse range of amazing music on offer to us between the mid 70's and mid 90's.

    There's been an equal if not moreso diverse range of music (and 'scenes') happening since the mid-90s, you just have to look for them.

    Regarding the thread title, popular music is popular, I guess.
