Why do people drive in the Fog with no lights on?

Cork is blanketed in a thick fog today and as a result viability is poor. But the number of cars passing me with no lights (not just fog lights) on is frightening.

Why can't people use the lights on the car to help other motorist and pedestrians see oncoming cars?:(

The time of year that's in it you would think people would be more careful.

Only remarked the same thing to a work colleague this morning. Thick fog coming to work and lots of silver coloured cars coming out of the fog with no lights. Couldn't see them till your passing them. :mad:

This country has either people who drive with their foglights on when there is no fog or turn then off when there is fog. I think it is people rebelling against conformity.
