    am currently working 2 days a week and unfortunately had to sign on jobseekers
    i got the letter today and its very vague as to what i will recieve
    it says daily means 30 and weekly means 60
    does anyone know what this means ?
    thanks for any help
    not sure if ill get anything now coming up to christsams
    id just like to have an idea as to how much so i can prepare better
    if its not too much

    You should get another letter in the post telling you what your weekly rate will be.

    Probably wont get it before christmas but you never know. People working part-time and claiming job seekers usually get a cheque in the post.

    it means they will deduct 30 euro for every day you work. so a weeks work for you is 2 days = 60. if you are single the rate is 188 then take 60 from this and you will get 128 from them.

    thats what i read from it

    this is how it works....

    if for example you work 2 days a week for 7 hours each day @ €8.65 an hour

    that is €60 earned for each day worked
    (if there are different hours for each day then just get an average daily earning)

    take €20 from this and multiply by 60% ==> €40 x 60% = €24

    €24 is the daily deduction from the total claimable allowance of €188

    if you work 2 days then €48 euro (2 x 24) will be deducted leaving €140
