Need some help, was having a hissyfit today in my moms golf today and slammed the glovebox and now I can't get it to open :( . I'm assuming something from inside has fallen and blocked the latch from opening, is there anyway I can fix it? Or how much should I be expecting to pay in order to get it open in a garage?

Go to the corner and think about what you have done :P

The lock on most gloveboxes is fairly high up hard to imagine something blocking it.

Have you tried using a flat screwdriver to see if you can manipulate it?

Smack it really hard in all corners and in the middle, usually shakes it out

By the door seal pull the side panel off and get at it that way.

    3.30 off.

On the Glovebook thing, have you tried turning the key in it, its possible you've bumped the lock.

I tried hitting the glovebox a few times while she went off to pay for petrol but it's a new car so every time I hit it I was dying a little inside with the thought of damaging it more. It's definitely not locked from the key anyway. I'll try the flat screwdriver tomorrow and hope for the best!

Flathead screw driver to a new car? Just bring it to the dealer before you make shyte of the dash and let the warranty cover it.

And in future try not to have a tantrum when you're told you're not getting everything you want for Christmas. :P

Is there not a hissy-fit exclusion in most car warranties? :D
